QuestionQUESTION: I have a male molly that has developed a lump just under his head on his chest. I have read that he may have swim bladder. Does you know if this sounds correct and how I should treat it. I think that I heard you can try peas?
ANSWER: Hi Meisa,
A swim bladder is a part of a fish, like a kidney, so your fish cannot "have swim bladder" as if that was some kind of disease. If he has a lump on his body, that most likely is either a parasite or more likely a cancerous growth. There is really nothing you can do about either.

QUESTION: Should I separate him from my other fish? Will he just die on his own?
Thanks
AnswerHi Meisa,
I do not think it necessary to separate him. The fact that he has a lump does not even necessarily mean that he will die. He might live a long time with the lump. It is very difficult to say.
