Malawi cichlid Advice needed !

Hi , i Have 2 Yellow lab malawi cichlids that are holding eggs , i was wondering what the next steps would be . i Have a second tank just under 3ft that is set up and ready to hold fish/fry . please reply thanks .

Hi Corey,
  You have a choice.  You can let the cichlids release their kids in the main tank, in which case a few might survive, or you can try to catch the females and put them in the separate tank to release their kids.  The challenge of this is that you have to be rather gentle when catching them or you will cause them to release their kids.  Typically the female holds the eggs and fry for about 3 weeks before she releases them.
