pop-eye in beta fish

I have a beta fish and he is a very active fish, but since his snail buddy has died, he has been looking a little depressed. Also one of his eyes is popping out and I am very worried. please help! thank you so much

Hello Jessica-

Your betta probably picked up a disease after the snail died (it can be a common occurrence when keeping bettas and snails together.)

I recommend a 25% water change, along with treating the tank with aquarium salt and adding a dose of QuickCure. Popeye is not usually deadly unless the fish picks up a second disease while he is ill.
