parrot chiclid

Question
I have a purple parrot chiclid i've only had him {or her} for about a month now...I'm new at this fish stuff...I just noticed that he has two pimple looking things on him near his top fin ....they are kinda reddish but it's hard to tell cuz he's a lite purple color...If you have any idea whats wrong with the poor guy i'd like to know...also he hides in the ship most of the time...I have two other parrots one is blue and the other is yellow...Thanks

Hi Lori;

He may be getting bullied by the others and he has sores from being bitten. There could also be a water quality problem that he doesn't like. Or, a parasite. Without all the information on your tank (size filtration, how long it has been set up, water temperature, etc.) I really can't say for sure. It would be helpful to know what size the fish are too. All this information helps me rule out certain problems so we can get down to business and figure it all out. Let me know....
