PREGNANT GUPPIE

i have a pregnant guppie i have put her in a floating fish hatchery, her gravid spot has gone really black and she keeps putting her head down with her tail in the air or she just sits on the bottom constantly opening her mouth. is she about to have them and how will i know?

This doesn't sound like normal behavior for a healthy, pregnant guppy. You might check the water quality and make sure there isn't a high level of ammonia or nitrites/nitrates.
There is no way to really tell when she's about to have her babies except she might stay very still all of a sudden and sometimes you can see the little black dots of the babies swimming in her.
