Help with gold fish pregnat

Question
How do i know my fish is  pregnant it a gold fish and it stay at the lower bit in the tank and it not gold any more it gold and black why is it like that

Hi Diderot,
 Goldfish do not get pregnant as such; they are egg layers.  A female may get larger before she gets ready to lay eggs, but then she will spawn the eggs on the gravel or plants.  You would need to have a male present at that time to fertilize the eggs.  Color change in goldfish is quite common and often just happens as they get older.
