my bettas fins

Hi.! a couple days ago i bought a red betta fish and ever since i brought him home HE WILL NOT open up his fins. his top fin remains collapsed and never opens. he is so beautiful.! i just wish he would spread out his fins.!!!!!!! PLEASE HELP.!!!!!!!!!!

His fins are clamped, most likely, because of stress. If he is in the right type of tank, he should be ok. He is just stressed from the moving from the store to his tank. He should be in a tank, no smaller than 2.5 gallons, but a 5 gallon is better. He also needs a heater set at 80 degrees at all times. If he has all of the above mentioned things, he should be ok in a few days. If not, just let me know.
