knife clown fish

Question
i have a large rare gold knife clown fish i noticed last month he had a growth on his jaw.It looks like blisters he since has more on the same side higher on his head.i knew my amonia was off and started water changes.i did 25% three days in a row and 10% once a week he is not getting better.i have a 150 gallon tank so the water changes might not of been enought or could it be a paracite.

Hi Dawn,
   With 150 gallons, water changes are not nearly as important as in a 10 gallon tank so your water would have to be pretty foul to cause something like that, which doesn't mean you shouldn't do water changes just that I find that a less likely cause of the problem.  Is it possible that the blisters are physical abbrasions, i.e., could he be rubbing his head on something?
