QuestionYou mentioned aquarium salt and metafix as treatment, however, with a beta in a glass bowl, as meteafix is 1 teaspoon to 10 gallons, what amount would you use in a bowl for one fish. The aquarium salt is easier to dilute down, bit are we talking cc's here? I have six healthy betas, but at my daughter's school we are treating one sick fish. I have used betamax before, but find it hard to find now. ANy help would be appreciated for this school kids fish.

AnswerHi Janine;
One teaspoon equals about 5 cc's. That equals about 1/2 a cc for every gallon. Or, you can add a teaspoon of just water to the teaspoon of melafix so it is easier to dispense. That means one cc for every gallon. Find out how much water the bowl holds and go from there. Most regular fish bowls are one or two gallons. Don't worry if you think you added a little too much Melafix. It isn't going to hurt them like regular medicines can.
