Question
QUESTION: Hi,
I have a flowerhorn, and he is about 12mths old, he usually is always hungry, his diet consists of pellets, freeze dried shrimp and blood worms , up until recently that is,he killed one of the fishes a sivorum and ate it and he has'nt eaten anything for over a week, at first I just thought he was being fussy, but I think it is something else, he is not the same fish, he is usually very active, and now he just sits on the bottom in the corner, I'm not sure what I can do to help him? should I leave him and hope he gets better or some medicines are available i just can't see him like that please help,

ANSWER: Hi Sumit,
I would not give him any medicines.  It is very possible that he is having some trouble digesting the severum, but medicine won't help; in fact, it could easily hurt.   Give him time.

QUESTION: can a flower horn be kept with same age red devil and other flower horn of diff verity?

Answer
Hi Sumit,
It doesn't really matter that the other fish are red devils or flowerhorns, or both. The basic problem is that flowerhorns are highly territorial (as are red devils) and he won't be happy with anybody else in his space.  The only way it would work is if you have a very large tank, e.g., 120 gallons or something like that and you had LOTS of wood, rock, plants, etc to divide up the space such that each fish could have an area to call its own.
