malawi cichlides

Hi,
I just added a royal pleco to my malawi fish tank. According to the pet shop owner these two types of fish are compatable. However I didn't manage to find any avidance of this compatibality on internet. So can you please tell me if these fish can live together?

Hi Ismael,
  You put a royal pleco with Malawi cichlids??? That is pretty unusual. Malawi cichlids like hard, alkaline water. Royal plecos want soft slightly acidic water with LOTS of wood in the tank. So, for that reason alone, I would not put them together.
