Would this hurt the other goldfish that is also in the tank? And would it be bad if the fish ate the salt??

It won't hurt the other fish and it won't be bad for them to breathe.  They don't eat the salt.  I would like you to dissolve it in water and then to pour the water in there so that the salt won't hurt the fish.  After 24 hours, you can change all the water to regular water again. :)
