Question
Im not real sure on the species of my fish but.. one of them just had a bunch of babies like 30 or more... she still looks huge is she gonna have any more? And how often do they have babaies?

Answer
Hi Anndrea!  Congrats on the fry (babies).  You may want to try to put the fry into a breeding net if you don't have them in there already, as bigger fish tend to snack on the smaller ones!  Livebearing fish can store sperm in their bodies for up to 7 more batches of fry (if there was no male in the tank).  So you can look forward to more.  Usual gestation time is 30 days (give or take).  I cannot tell you how many she will have, but if she still looks huge, I would be willing to bet that she is not done yet.  It can take quite some time for them to finish.

Here is a website you can check out on livebearers and see if you can spot your fish.  Once you figure out what it is, you can do some research to get all the particulars on it.  http://www.atchison.com/fishinformation/breedinglivebearers.htm

Good luck!  If I can be of anymore help, please get back to me.    ;o)
