Dechlorinated water

Question
I don't have drops to put in the bowl to dechlorinate the water. I have a beta, bought it today. I left water out from my filtered refrigerator for about 4 hours so far. When is it safe to put the fish in? Doesnt the water naturally dechlorinate by itself after awhile? The fish isn't in a bag, its in a container with holes on the top, so it can stay in there for a long time. Please get back to me asap!

hello yes bettas are very easy to keep and their water type dosnt matter....acually they live in mudd puddles! when i had a betta  i bought water conditioner and added a bit to the water and stired i around, then set the fish in. and YES if you leave the water a lone without any conditioner for 24 hours it should be fine
