is my silver molly sick?

i put a ten day feeder tablet in the tank of my silver molly but i'm noticing a long red string of something hanging from her belly.

It's probably just feces (fish poop). If the food tablet is reddish, so will be the poop. If the tablet isn't reddish, she may be constipated and has some intestinal bleeding. Feces should not trail more than a half inch behind the fish before it disconnects. Mollies need a lot of fiber in their diets to prevent constipation and give them the nutrients they need. Feed her cooked peas, romaine lettuce, shredded and cooked carrots, sliced cucumbers, sliced squash and spirulina algae. Just rinse and drop them into the tank for her to nibble on 3 or more times per week.
