Question
My albino Cory cat has a eating problem and his fins are way shorter than normal. It's not fin rot because his fins haven't disappeared and i accidently got him with this problem. His stomach has imploded, unlike the other albino and emerald corys i have.I was wondering, is it a disease or can fish be born that way( my mom thinks so)? I got him last month and i thought he would have died by now. I think it's a miracle. Thanks in advance.

Answer
Hi Christian,
As with any animal, a fish can be "born" with birth defects or develop defects as it grows.  Extra short fins are definitely a possibility.

That said, a sunken in stomach usually indicates that a fish is not eating.
