Help! what do Red Wags eat? I have a community tank, and recently added two red wags., I feed the fish once a day and I have not seen the red wags eat yet. I feed tropical flakes. Also, I have a golden algae eater. I don't see alot of stuff anywhere on the glass for it to eat. How do I know if it needs food - a piece off an algae wafer? thanks

Red Wag Platies eat a variety of food.  You could try granules, pellets or frozen food.  If you recently bought them, the could still be adjusting and will eat the flake when they are ready.  The algae eater need to have algae wafers once a week or so, if there is no algae in the tank.  I have always fed my plecos zucchini and peas every two weeks or so, but there is enough algae in my tank to sustain them.
