Needle Nose

Question
I have a 100 gallon tank with a needle nose. I came home today and notice the needle is broken off. Will the needle grow back? Will the fish be able to eat?

Hi Nick,
 I take it that you mean a needle nose gar?   I seriously doubt if it will grow back but to be honest I have never heard of this before.  It would be the equivalent of breaking your jaw. It may be able to mend but it might not mend quite right. It's hard to say.
