Question
I have a pair of Texas Cichlids, and 500 or so 3 day old babies. Since the babies were born, I've noticed more planaria in the tank, primarily near and around the babies. I've read that planaria can be a nuisance to breeding tanks. Is this true? and is there anything I should/could do about it?
Thanks

Answer
Hi Meg,
Hmmm... planaria are usually a sign that you aren't doing enough water changes.  However, when you have babies in the tank it can be harder to do water changes.  I suggest you try to change about 25% of the water, but be careful not to suck up the fry.
