Angel Fish Gestation Period

Question
How long is the gestation period of angel fish? (or how long does it take for the eggs to hatch?)PS I have another angelfish (along with the other fish not as big) not from the pair, will it threaten the prospect of the pair laying eggs and them being fertilized? He/she is bigger than 1 of the pair, but same size as the other 1. He/she seems to be a lot older than the breeding pair.

Answer
Hi Jack,
Once the eggs are laid, they hatch in about 2-3 days (depending on the water temperature).  It will be closer to 2 days if the water is up near  82oF or so, and more like 3 days if the water is around 75oF or so.

A third fish MAY cause problems if it disrupts spawning, but it easily might not.  It may eat the eggs however.
