ph fungus

i have a 32ltr hood tank and my ph is at 7.4 in the morning and goes up during the day and is back to normal the next day is this ok?and my two goldfish keep getting fungus,ive added salt but it keeps comming back how do i stop this?

Hi Kim,
  Is the tank in direct sunlight?  If so, that could affect water chemistry.

  I do not see any value in adding salt to a tank to stop fungus.  If your fish has fungus, you need to treat it with a compound that contains copper -- many commercial remedies contain copper in one form or another, e.g., malachite green, and/or formaldehyde.
