How long does a Betta fish normally live? How many pellets of food should I feed it every day?

Betta's can live anywhere from 2 to 5 years, sometimes even more. Because of the horrible living conditions that most Betta's are kept in at the store, they usually are more easily prone to diseases. Take good care of your fish, change his water weekly and watch for signs of illness and your fish should live a long time. Usually I recommend feeing Betta's 1-2 Pellets a day. Remember, their stomach is only as big as their eye.
