Elephant nose feeding

Question
Hi,

Yesterday we got two elephant nose fish about four inches long to go with our betta. We are planning on feeding them freeze dried blood worms, and we were wondering how many how often? How do we know that they are finding their food, since they are bottom feeders?

Answer
Hi Shiloh,
That is going to be something you will find out by trial and error.  Start with just a little and see if they eat it. As they get more comfortable, they will eat more.   Feed once a day.  The most important thing is not to let uneaten food sit and rot on the bottom of the tank.  That is very dangerous for the fish.  In general, it is much better to underfeed than to overfeed when dealing with fish.
