Pacu hit

Question
I didn't see them but I heard the thump.  Went to look and I have a pacu upsite down..another sortof lopsided. CaN MY GUYS RECOVER?

Hello Lyn,

Thankyou for the rating.  I wanted to add to my answer and revise it a bit.

I was not aware of the large size of your Pacu and the size of the aquarium.

The Pacu may have literally been running around and hit the glass.  Perhaps this is why they are injured.

In a fish head injury, one will lean to the side.  One could indeed turn upside down.

Pacu are fish who enjoy a lot of space.  Certainly, yours are very large and could have been trying to get out of the glass, or playing and frollicking, when they ran into it.

Have you ever seen a bird hit the glass window and knock himself out?  It could be a similar situation.

I certainly hope this has helped and that both the Pacu made it and are okay now.

Was it from an additional fish or was it from electric shock?

If it was from another fish, they will most likely perish but if it was electricity, they could perish, but might make it.
