white film on fish

I have an oscar fish that  has a white film all  over  it.  Can you please tell me what that is.   thank you,tricia

Hi Tricia,
 That is really hard to say.  Can you send me a photo?  

 It most likely is ich.  You should get some ick medicine immediately and treat the tank.  

  By the way, have you been doing regular weekly partial water changes?  You should be changing 25% of the water once a week, every week, to keep your oscar happy and healthy.
