Question
Hi, I bought a 3 inch flowerhorn recently. When i placed it a the tank, after 2 days i saw it not moving and had mucous skin and cloudy eyes and white spots. Then, i changed the tank and placed some medication that i bought into the tank and the fish was ok so i decided too clean the old tank with potassium permanganate for a day then i placed the fish into the old tank. However, now after the 2 days the symptoms have came back. What should i do? Pls help.

Answer
Hi Karanjot,
Cloudy eyes and mucous on the skin strongly suggests that there is something in the water that is really irritating the fish.  Did you by any chance use any soap when cleaning the tank? Soap would cause these effects.
