Question
Hi,

I want to start a microworms culture to feed my fish....I have 10 cardinal tetras,2 angelfish,1 golden sucker and 2 male guppies....they have all been an a flake food diet for awhile so I decided to change something new that's easy to grow, easy to keep, cheap  and can be fed to my fishes.I'm wondering how to start a culture without a starter culture as I dun have time to go to my local petstore anymore.I've done my research online but all forums said that I would need a starter culture. Is it possible to start a culture withoit a starter culture?

regards,
Elizabeth

Answer
Hi Elizabeth,

You can grow them at home.  I found a great article which can help you.

This article talks about how to do it.  I have never grown microworms.  I have heard the stuff they eat stinks to high heavens, but if you'd update me and let me know how it went, I'd appreciate it.

I hope this link has been helpful for you.

Happy fish-keeping.
