i just need to know a few things

i do understand they should be kept in a big tank but i have for him is a 1 gallon tank i change he water at first sign of dirtiness but what i need to know is that my room stay cold at night and hes water get some what cold and i want to know will this kill him also i would like to know can tell me everything a betta can eat and what it should not eat i know im asking a lot of questions but i would rather ask you then some pet store and i have betta pellets what eles can i feed him from my home i heard u can feed them peas but i don't know and one more thing i feed him chicken nuggets is that bad he ate it but it dint hurt him  i just need to know everything that i need to know about bettas thank you and by the way my name is holly

 If he is going to be in such a small home, the water changes need to be done no less than every 3 days. Also, in the smaller tank, you have no heater, HE NEEDS A HEATER. The constant temp changes are not good for him. It will eventually kill your Betta. His life span will be cut very short if he is in the cold water. He is a tropical fish and needs his water to be at 82 degrees at all times. You can feed your Betta pellets, frozen blood worms and brine shrimp. Freeze dried brine shrimp and blood worms can be fed as a treat. The pea you want to feed him only once a week and no more. Make sure you cook it at remove the outer shell before feeding him the inside. Do not feed the outer shell because he cannot digest it. Do NOT feed him the chicken nuggets. That is people food not fish food. Only feed them food that is made for them. It is very important to research the fish you want to have before bring him home. You need to know how to house them, feed them, and other things you need to do to keep him happy and healthy.
