Breeding Piranhas?

Question
Hi, my names is Dylan and I have owned 5 red belly piranhas for about 2 years now. About 2 weeks ago I moved them to a larger tank and ever since then the have been acting more aggressive meaning more nipping and sizing each other up. 2 of the lager piranhas have each claimed about a foot of the tank to them selves and the red on their belly is much darker than usual. Do you think my piranhas are going to try and breed and if so what should I do to prepare for it?  Any info you can give me will be much appreciated, hope to hear from you soon.

Answer
Hi Dylan,
I have never kept nor bred red belly piranhas, but I know some people that have -- it is rather rare.  What you are seeing definitely sounds like they could be gearing up.  You don't really need to do anything other than watch what is happening and be prepared to remove the others if a pair does spawn -- they will likely get REALLY aggressive at that point.  Let me know what happens.
