plants in betta tank

Is it okay for a betta to have english ivy in it's tank or is it poisonous to them?

Ashley,                                                      It may be. Ivy has a bad reputation. Your betta doesn't eat plants anyway contrary to popular belief. It will rob your tank of oxygen especially if it is unfiltered. So lets keep everyone happy and give them both their own space....:)Good Luck , Tina
