bloated oscar

Question
I just recently moved my Oscar to a larger tank (55 gal) His old tank was getting too small. He has the tank to just himself and a bottom feeder. I noticed this morning (day 3 in the new tank) that his sides are slightly bloated and he is not eating or having bowel movements. I cycled the new tank and had the water tested before I put him in. What is the possible cause and what can I do to get him back on track? He is young, about four years and other than a bout with fungus is very healthy. Thank you in advance for any advice  you have to share.

Answer
Hi Jana,
Assuming that the new tank is healthy (as you describe) it just may take time for him to get accustomed to it.  In the meantime, be very careful not to leave food in the tank that he doesn't eat.
