QuestionI have a 55 gal. aquarium with 8 new Red Top Hongi. They are only 1.5" long.. I have slate and rock caves set up natural gravel. How big do these get and how long does it take for them to breed? Any info would be nice this was all a gift. I do guppies and platies well(another tank) and do weekly water changes.. thanks!!!! Nancy
AnswerHi Nancy,
They can get to the 4 to 6 inch zone over time. They can breed when they are around 3 inches or so. The weekly partial water changes are the way to do. Incidentally, the more water changes you do, the faster they grow.
