Minnows

Question
I have recently acquired 12 minnows as all bar one of last bunch died. the remaining minnow i have  became very swollen around the stomach 4 months ago, it is a fully grown white cloud mountain minnow and is currently residing in a 30 litre tank with the new dozen. is it pregnant or any other explanation ?. Should i separate it from new ones (baby white cloud mountain minnows.) Any Help appreciated

Hi Jade,
  White cloud mountain minnows are egg layers so sadly she cannot be pregnant as such.  If she were to lay eggs, she would need a male around to fertilize them.
