Question
I have a 100gal acrylic aquarium and I was wondering if the mixture of fish in my tank are compatible with one another. I have an eight in duck bill catfish, two gold severums, one silver scat, one frontosa, two jewel cichlids, one chilean nicaraguense, a small pleco, and I just purchased a green texas.  Could you tell me which is the least compatible and why? Also do you have any suggestions?

Answer
Hi,
I really like your choices, and I think it sounds like a great tank, but I actually had one question for you. Do you have all those fish in a tank currently? I didn't think a scat or frontosa could tolerate the water conditions of the other fish and visa versa. Other than that, I see no problems. Just make sure the tank has fantastic filtration and lots of hiding places all around the tank so everyone is able to set up their own territory. Otherwise you might see some problems with aggression.

I just wanted to add, there will be some aggression no matter what because we are dealing with cichlids. That is fine, you may have to separate them if it gets too bad.
