Question
how long are mountine minnows pregnant for? ive placed her in a breeding tank where the aggs drop to the bottom, but has been pregnant for a while now.

Hi Jennifer,
  White Cloud Mountain minnows do not get pregnant as such. They are egg layers.  The male has to fertilize the eggs once they are outside her body. A female might be carrying eggs pretty much all of the time once she is an adult.  However, if your female is particularly fat, odds are that she has an intestinal problem, not that she is full of eggs.
