Question
QUESTION: my molly just lays at the bottom of the tank with the tail curled up is she dead or about to have babies? I have a breeding net with little plants but I dont know when to put her in. she is now in the back corner should i put her in the net or not?

ANSWER: Jack,

Yes, put her in the net. She might be getting ready to have her babies. They usually stay away from other fish and hide when its time. good luck.

QUESTION: I forgot to say she has a very small belly. and sometimes she goes to the top but usually during feeding. i do not think that she is pregnant. somtimes she will suck on the glass and go back to the bottom is she still ready?

Answer
Jack,

What are your water perimeters? If a fish comes to the top to hang out it usually means there is not enough oxygen in the tank. If she does not have a huge belly then chances are she is not going to have babies. Check all the water readings, make sure you are doing the weekly water changes. Let me know what the perimeters are.
