Oscar and convict chichilds

Can I put an Oscar and a convict chichild in the same tank?

Hi,
I tried putting a 14" oscar with a 3" convict cichlid, and amazingly, the oscar and 2' peacock bass were getting beat up by the little convict cichlid. A 5" Convict of mine even attacked my 3.5' Silver arowana, who could easily eat the cichlid. My point being, they are terribly aggressive (don't get me wrong, they are one of my favorite fish) and I recommend keeping them alone, or with a mate only.
