2nd keet behavior

HI. I recently got a 2nd bird. It's a female and is about 1 year old. Our first bird is a male and about 3 years old. They seem to be getting along well. My question is that I wondered if she will pick up behavior from the male or if she will need to be trained as if she were the only one.  Thanks.

Hello Dee! Parakeets generaly act on their own and dont really pick up bad bahavior from other birds. You will notice that both your birds are more willing to try new things. If the female sees the male eating something tasty like lettuce, she will want to try it to. If you want her to trust you then you will have to spend time with her as if she were the only one. Otherwise, they will be very happy together. As long as you spend quality time with them you have nothing to worry about. good luck!
