Foals heartbeat

Heather, can you please help me find an unborn foals heartbeat? And at what age will I best be able to hear it? Thank you, Tamara

Hi- We always checked for the heartbeat at around 7 months-i'm not sure of the correct time to check though- A tip to check the foals movement would be to give the mare very cold water-This gets the foal moving- Sometimes the foal could be in a position that will make it hard to get a heartbeat- so we just keep trying- How far along is your mare and can you see movement? thanks
