Question
I'm considering a friends offer to breed hey Arabian Stud to my 12 year old Quater Horse. I'm wonder with the differneces in breeds with the foal come out in good shape?

Answer
Hi Kimberly,

People cross breed Quarter Horses and Arabians all the time, so there is no problem there.

If you have a nice quality mare and the stallion is of good quality also, then you should have a pretty nice foal.

When breeding horses, you always want to take into consideration the attributes of each horse, and you want to choose horses to mate  that will compliment each other.  The goal is always to improve on the breeding.
