Arabian/Friesian Foal

Question

My Mare
Hi,
I am going to breed my mare to a Friesian stallion this spring. My mare is a 16.1 hand black Arabian/Paint cross with beautiful movement. She has never been shown, but I believe that she would excel at dressage. I attached a picture of her for you to see. The Friesian stallion that I am breeding her to is a 17.1 hand purebred imported Friesian. He has been shown in multiple horse expos and has done well. I know that the foal is going to be big with excellent movement, but I'm trying to figure out what the best discipline for him or her would be. I'm thinking dressage, but my mare can also jump well, so I'm not really sure. What do you think the foal will excel at?
Thanks,
Courtney

Answer
Hi! She is beautiful!! I think that would be a great cross!! I would go dressage for sure- the fresian blood will make some fancy movement!! I think the foal will be bulky built if it takes after the fresian-but they can still jump! Dressage would just show off those fancy moves. thanks!! Good luck!
