we just rescued a shetland, we think she was field bred. she was in with full size horses is that a real concern?

Yes it is a very big concern- If she was bred by a full sized stallion- there is a chance that she can die from carrying a foal that large or die delivering it- i would have a vet come out as soon as possible to see how far along she is and for a vet check- i ahve heard of this happening, but in most cases one or the other dies or the foal is born blind or crippled or with some birth defect.
