Questioncould a male common boa breed with a colombian rainbow boa ?
AnswerHi Paul
unfortunately no.
interbreeding between species generally doesn't work. this is because the genetic makeup of one species is different to another and the sperm and egg cannot fuse together to create an embryo.
common boas can however breed with other types of boa constrictor, ie, guyanan red-tail boa, Surinam red-tail boas and Peruvian red-tail boas.
i hope this helps,
Andy
