My snakes eye!

Hi I just noticed my snakes eye is dented in on the pupil. Kind of looks like it is deflating.

hi Chris,

this may be due to dehydration or low humidity in the tank or it could be a retained eye cap. if it is just the one eye it sounds more like a retained eye cap.

in this case, give your snake a bath in some lukewarm water for 20-30mins and then use your fingernail to try and prise the eye cap off the new skin underneath starting from one corner of the eye. make sure you are gentle and very careful as the eyes are a delicate part of the snake.
