Question
Hello,
I have a 3 month old chameleon who hasnt eaten in the last 5 days, he is in the middle of shedding and fell off the branch to the floor of his cage appx 2.5 ft. So now he hasn't really moved , his back legs are speed eagle and with his front he continually scratches at his head and eyes like he's trying to rip them off , I'm not sure w if his legs are broken he seems to be able to grip with them, but backwards only. Its pretty weird, I was thinking some sort of vitiam or calcium deficiency , so just wondering if you could give me any advice it would be much appreciated. I have just been misting him

Answer
Hello Yvonne,

Do you have any pictures of him?
Are you using any type of UVB light for him?  What type & brand do you use, a fluorescent tube bulb or a compact/coil light?
How often do you use calcium for him?  One of the first signs of metabolic bone disease is strength loss, & balance problems & in chameleons, not being able to grip properly.
What foods do you offer him on a regular basis?

Do you have a drip system setup for him as well, & what is the humidity in the tank?
What are the temperatures in the tank?  Do you use a stick on type of thermometer, a digital probe or a temp gun?
