What Snake?

I've never had a snake before but thinking about getting one. what small non-venimous type should i get

Hey Morgan,
i would suggest for a first snake to go with either corn (florida corns are great looking)or the king snakes, both are hardy snakes and eat well.both are easy to handle.if you decide on either let me know and ill help you with tank size,feeding and care chart.
