Question
i got a red tail boa and i saw that his right eye is a little bigger. he's starting to look like he is going to shed and his eyes were cloudy and today his eyes are clear and his right eye is bigger, but he hasn't shed his skin yet. would you know what might be the problem?

Answer
It could possibly be a retained eye cap from a previous shed.  Retaining eye caps or shedding in pieces is caused by the humidity being too low.  There is a way to remove the eye cap (that usually works) but I wouldn't recommend doing it unless you are 100% sure the problem is his eye cap.  Wait until after he completes the shed.  Check the shedded skin for eye caps and then check his eyes.  If all is normal, you're good to go.  If you notice the eye caps have been retained, take a piece of scotch or masking tape.  Gently roll it across the eye.  This should catch the eye cap and remove it.

Google retained eye caps for pictures and instruction on removing them.
