found baby painted? turtles during winter

I was burying my deceased cat and accidently found two very small baby turtles (i think painted)  I live in michigan so right now it is cold and snowy.  They are not moving or anything, so i think they are in mid hibernation.  What do I do with them so they do not die??? I wasn't sure if I could just put them back, and then how deep down etc.???????

To get them to coem out of hibernation take them inside and set up a tank for them with aheat lamp and they should wake up after awhile.  As far as burying them back I couldn't give you too much advice on that as I live in Florida not too experienced with dealing with frozen ground as far as baby turtles are concerned.
