Question
QUESTION: I have purchased a baby Leopard Gecko about 4 months ago. He eats well, is growing, and looks healthy. The only problem is when he has a bowel movement it is formed, but the stool has a clear, watery discharge. Is this normal for a baby??

ANSWER: Hello Kathleen,

Does he drink alot of water?  What types of foods do you feed him?
Do the stools smell really bad?  If so, then, I would get a fecal done on him to test for parasites & worms.
A clear, watery excretion along with a stool that appears normal, is just excess fluids which means that he is well hydrated.
What color are his urates?

QUESTION: Yes, he drinks a fair amount. Stools smell like our older gecko's not horrible. His urates are clear resembling water, and stool dark brown/formed

Answer
Hello Kathleen,

That is strange.  Does he not have white urates?  It is normal to have liquid coming out with his stool so at least you know he is not dehydrated.
Good that it is not overly smelly or he should get a fecal done.
I would say that his stool sounds normal.
