ORAL MEDICINES FOR LEOPARD GECKO

HI, MY DAUGHTERS LEOPARD GECKO HAS EYE INFECTIONS AND HAS BEEN DIAGNOSED BY A SPECIALIST EYE VET AND THEN A SPECIALIST HERP' VET. (ALTHOUGH I CAN'T SAY THAT EITHER SEEMED CERTAIN ABOUT THE NATURE OF THE PROBLEM)  I HAVE BEEN GIVEN EYE DROPS TO ADMINISTER TWICE A DAY AND 2 DROPS OF ORAL ANTIBIOTICS TO ADMINISTER ONCE A DAY.  THE EYE DROPS ARE HARD ENOUGH AS KLEO THE GECKO HAS SORE EYES AND WON'T OPEN THEM....BUT THE ORAL MEDICINE IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO GET INTO ITS MOUTH.  WHEN I DO MANAGE TO TRICK HIM INTO LICKING A DROP OFF ITS NOSE, HE THRASHES ABOUT IN DISGUST ( LIKE IT TASTES HORRID ) SO THE QUESTION IS HOW DO I GET KLEO TO OPEN HIS MOUTH? PS. I CHECKED A MEDICAL JOURNAL AND IT SUGGESTED PULLING ITS DEWLAP WHILST HOLDING ITS MAXILLA - WELL KLEO WOULD HAVE NON OF THAT AND ANYWAY I'D NEED 4 HANDS....

Have you been able to get any of the eye ointment or drops into his eyes yet?
Unfortunately, there are not many easy ways of getting the meds into him.  What you can do is get some chicken or turkey babyfood & mix the meds into it.  You will need to get some help as it will take 2 people.  One of you can hold your gecko Kleo, while the other one gets the mouth open with a swab & then quickly squirt the food & meds in.  Just use around .5ml of food.
How long has Kleo had eye problems?  What are the temps in the tank & now is the tank setup?
